This is Matt Lutz with the Sawtooth National Forest Avalanche Center with General Snow and Weather Information on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. This information will be updated as conditions warrant. Since the last General Information update our forecast area has not received much new snow. Avalanches are not a big concern in most places right now with the exception of high elevation northerly aspects. Slopes steeper than 35 degrees that have accumulated snow should be approached with caution. The forecast is calling for a slight chance of precipitation this weekend, so keep your fingers crossed. We will begin regular advisories when there is enough snow on the ground for people to play. Pray for snow.
