Joining the Avalanche Network
Purpose: The avalanche network has evolved as a means of recognizing
those companies and organizations who support us in various ways. We hope it will
provide a framework for the accommodation of more participating organizations
as the project continues to grow.
Who is Eligible: Any organization which is interested in supporting
the public service safety, awareness, and educational work of the avalanche center
is welcome to join the avalanche network. Companies, traditional media,
web sites, and others are encouraged to join and to help us expand the
audience we serve. There are no fees, no promises of exclusivity, no
renewal dates, etc. While it is intended to recognize organizations
we will be glad to consider participation by individuals as well.
How it Works: In return for any type of in-kind support we will
put your name, with a link, on the Avalanche Network
page. In addition, we will add you to our rotation on the main section
pages. This is a text link, no graphics. Avalanche network members can
also display a logo with the text "Avalanche Network" on it if they wish,
either online and/or in printed materials. We can provide such a logo
or the member can design one to meet their own needs. [We have two available
for use - a rectangular
one and a smaller square
one.) Use of the CSAC name or logo must be accompanied by words including
"Avalanche Network", cannot be used to imply product endorsement,
and should be linked to the Avalanche Center home page whenever used online.
Types of Support: Organizations currently recognized have provided
us with a variety of services and products. Most have contributed goods
for our annual fundraising auction. Some have
provided significant advertising and/or promotion, free or discounted
services, discounted or free equipment, and small grants. There are many
things we can use, and other forms of support will gladly be considered
for inclusion in the avalanche network.
