Contributions Using Forum Dollars

Donating by Redeeming Forum Dollars

When you participate in the forums you earn forum dollars. You get varying amounts for new topics, replies, replies made to a topic you started, and other things. You can redeem these forum dollars (1-1 basis) for a membership or towards store purchases (store purchases subject to limitations).

There is also a forum lottery. You can find it by clicking on the lottery link at the top of any forum page. Tickets are purchased by using your existing forum dollars. The drawing and restarting is automated with no interference from us. (If the winner was user "csac" it's because nobody else entered, in which case the dollars accumulate in our account for a while until we just delete them.

Forum dollars are generated, earned, traded or donated between users, etc, on a strictly online basis. No payment or investment in real dollars is required or involved. Forum dollars are generated by various participations in forums and (like real dollars) there is no limit to how many are "minted" or in circulation at any given time.
