The Alpine Pro has a Backbone Blade design that allows the handle to insert deep into the blade, adding strength when prying or lifting wet, heavy, snow. It's constructed of high quality, powder coated aluminum. A central rib extends into front of blade adding structural stiffness. Two holes in the blade allow for easy transportation with the Slingblade Carrying System, making it perfect for Patrollers and Yo-Yo skiers. The Alpine Pro moves a lot of snow yet remains light weight and packable.

• The principle design feature is an improved handle to blade interface Life-Link calls the backbone design. Most aluminum shovels terminate short of the blade. The handle sleeve and blade have been designed to allow the handle to insert well under the blade to provide additional support when prying or lifting heavy, dense snow.
• The blade is constructed of high quality, work hardened, powder coated aluminum.
• The handle is constructed of 6000 Series black anodized aluminum aircraft tubing.
• The handle is completely detachable from the blade by means of positive locking detents.
• Two 8 mm holes in blade allow shovel to be equipped with shoulder straps for transportation on back.
