Good Morning! This is the Bardini Foundation advisory issued on March 10th. Temperatures have been in the low to high to fifties at elevations of 9000ft-10000ft. Unseasonably warm (too warm). Last Temperatures were just below freezing. I have not observed any avalanche activity on any of the higher angled slopes. Skier triggered are still possible. There was some reported avalanche activity during our first days of our warm up last week. It's not unusual for this to happen. Watch out for snow rollers and slushy snow with a boot penetration over the boot top. The advisory for above tree line and tree line is MODERATE again, be wary in the warmer part of the day and on sunny aspects. Below tree line it is LOW. Please email me at tim@bardini.org with any snow or avalanche observations. Remember we have a choice on what terrain we chose to ski, plan ahead and have a back up alternate plan. Wear a beacon; also a shovel and probe should always be carried in your pack. Be safe and have fun! This advisory is for recreational use and not intended for operational purposes. Please be aware that the update is for that day only.
