Other Ways to Support Us: Contribute, Goodshop, Ebay, Avalanche Store
Our last auction was in the fall of 2012 and that one was only to sell some things left from previous auctions.
As of 2014 our resources are too limited to run this. And participation by users was always disappointing. The website and server are currently maintained remotely by a voluteer director living in Tbilisi, Georgia. There is no longer any US infrastructure, including any physical office let alone any help.
Industry support was not fantastic compared to what the US Forest Service and similar organizations are able to obtain, but it was steady and encouraging for a non-government grassroots organization. And the auction helped out our small budget a great deal despite limited participation by site users.
The programming infrastructure is still here and we could potentially run an auction again in the future. But we have no plans to do so at this time. Our expenses have shrunk with the dissolution of the US physical infrastructure but we still have costs that need to be met, and this is still a struggle. Please support us by purchasing your equipment from our Avalanche Store, taking a course in our Institute, and/or contributing.
