Condensation

Also: Deposition

Condensation is the phase change (or conversion) of a vapor to a liquid, i.e. water vapor to water. An example of this is dew. Condensation is the opposite of evaporation.

The term is also sometimes (mis)used for the phase change from vapor to solid although this is properly called deposition. Surface hoar is an example of deposition. Deposition is the opposite of sublimation.

The term deposition zone is not related.
